School Registry

            The USCMAS school registry is not an advertisement page, you cannot by a listing here.  To become a registered school with the United States Council of Martial Arts Standards the entire staff must be Rank Certified and Instructor Certified with student membership certifications as well.  Having one instructor Certified is always a good thing however having your entire Instructor Staff Certified insures that every student will receive top quality martial arts training in every class, every time they step on the mat.  Once you are / have a Registered School you have the right to display the USCMAS logo on your Certificates, in your windows and in your advertising.  This helps to let the public and future students know that you have a quality program with National support.

              Becoming a Certified School has a number of steps you need to complete, they are as follows;
  1. The owner / lead instructor for the school must become a USCMAS member by way of the 4 step evaluation process.
  2. Once the owner / lead instructor has become personally certified and they have a certified rank they can begin part 2.  Part 2 of the process is the owner / lead instructor earning the first level of instructor certification.

At this point the school can begin the evaluation process and submit the school application for registry.

  1. Part 3 is to have the rest of the teaching staff begin the 4 step evaluation process to become certified.
  2. Part 4 once the full instructor staff is personally certified, then the owner /lead instructor can begin the second step of Instructor Certification to earn level 2.
  3. Part 5 Now with a Certified Senior Instructor in the school the rest of the staff needs to begin working on Instructor Certification.
  4. Once part 5 is complete the final requirement is to begin student memberships and the Senior Instructor must be actively working on the Head Instructor Certification (Level 3).
When this point has been reached the USCMAS will begin reviewing the schools application as well as documents of certification.  If all steps have been completed and everything is up to the required standards the school will be asked to provide 3 letters of reference.  The first letter of reference should be from a student or student’s parent in the school.  The second letter of reference should be from another school that is not part of or a member of the school in question.  And the last letter of reference should be a personal reference of the owner / lead instructor.  Cost for school registration is $50.00.
