Master Carter has enjoyed working with and teaching people from all different walks of life. He has enjoyed working with children with ADD, people with disabilities, elderly and United States Armed Forces, he feels martial arts has something to give to everyone.

"Martial Arts is not just a sport or fitness, it’s a way of life! Some of our hardest battles are not fought on the streets or on the mat yet with ourselfs and some of our most peaceful moments can be found on the streets and on the mat. Yes, we train to fight, so we don't have to."

Master Carter is a Four time World Champion in Fighting, a three time International Champion in Kata (forms) and a National Champion in Weapons. He has also worked as an advisor for Military & Law Enforcement.  Master Carter has now retired from competition do to injuries to his back and knees while serving his country in the US Armed Forces.  Now Master Carter works hard focusing on events, organizations and programs that better the future of martial arts students and instructors .  Grand Master Carter still oversees all PFMA operations and signs/seals every Certification issued by Pure Force.

      The "Rock Break"

One of Master Carter's trade marks is the power that his system of training can create.  The "Rock Break" is just one of the ways Master Carter has shown what can be accomplished with hard work.  Here is just one of the victoms of this incredible demo.

      PICTURE ONE

In the picture you see a granite/lime stone rock.  The weight of this rock is 14.7 lbs. and as you can see in the picture is about 16 in. long.  For the picture and measurements the rock has been pushed together.

      PICTURE TWO

In picture two you see the rock is almost 4 in. thick.

      PICTURE THREE

In picture three you can see the clean break.

This was the last DEMO break ever done by Master Carter in early 2004 and the teachnique used was a 6in Knife Hand Strike.  The people present were: Dave Baker, Senior Staff Advisor Kristina, Sensei David Baker, William Hughes, Kellen Perez, Ken Hughes.

      WARNING!!!

The PFMA staff asks that you do not try this type of breaking without the proper training!  Master Carter is an Expert at Breaking with many years of training and conditioning.
