Quote to think about;

Often a mighty man is the humblest of creatures and a humble man is the mightiest of creatures.

Welcome to Pure Force Martial Arts.  PFMA is deticated to Martial Arts excellence from the youngest to the oldest student.  Here at PFMA we focus on training the mind and the body, from the dojo to everyday life.  We stress quality through standards with cutting edge programs and instructors that must meet the highist requirements of practical and academic training.

History of PFMA

The ideals of Pure Force Martial Arts have come from the 30 plus years of Martial Arts Experience that Shihan Carter has gone through.  PFMA takes the best parts of each program that we have seen in our travels around the country over the years.  The first focus of PFMA is the subject matter experts with Masters Board of Directors in direct support.  By having instructors that specialize in a style and train the other styles taught here we provide a wealth of knowledge without losing technique.  The second focus of PFMA is to provide training for the instructor not just in the techniques of Martial Arts but also academic training that covers everything from history to fitness, anatomy, health, disabilities, class instruction and many more.  The next focus is on the student as a person; we work with the students to develop not just their martial arts techniques but their grades, community service & their future.  Next on our list is to provide the best training for the best price.  Many schools charge hundreds per month for the youngest student and even more for the adults.  Other schools charge almost nothing and worry about how many people they can get in the door.  Here at PFMA we focus on providing cutting edge programs with supportive staff to develop a future plan and goals for our students.  Our average High School student graduates in the top 10 of their class academically and continue on to college.
National Training Center ~ Twentynine Palms California

The PFMA development began in the early 1990's with the styles, instructors and curriculum.  By the late 1990's the family of PFMA was starting to take shape and in 2000 Shihan Carter formally founded PFMA at his school in Twentynine Palms, CA.  With the help of his top students and instructors Shihan Carter has built the largest group of systems taught in one school in the Morongo Basin.  In the last 5 years PFMA has grown into 10 core schools and a network of associate schools reaching from coast to coast and 3 countries.

The Network

Pure Force Martial Arts is a group schools that focus on formal training.  We have different styles that are taught by different instructors.  In our family we respect all styles equally with no politics or ego's.  Some of the PFMA schools may have more then one style taught there, this does not mean they are taught together.
